In this day and age with so many turkeys gobbling up the music industry, one band felt it was time to secure their place as the apex predator. DREADHAWK was founded in 2015 by former Stone Senses singer/songwriter/guitarist Mike O’Gara and Anthony Russo. Their first EP “Tremont Street Sessions” was recorded in February 2016, and the band quickly and modestly took their rightful place among the most original alternative-rock bands of the 21st century.
DREADHAWK began its flight in North San Diego County, California, USA in the winter months of 2015. Singer/songwriter Mike O’Gara took what he had started in his previous bands and evolved his style into what has now become an explosive hybrid of reggae, rock, and punk, while maintaining his melodious, soulful vocal creativity which gained him notoriety as a musician in the early years of the last decade. DREADHAWK has spent many sessions collaborating and intertwining a positive message from an otherwise unforgiving world which they knew needed healing.
Now beginning to emerge back into the live music scene after an essential time of reflection, the band continues to fly the banner of truth and conscience to a new generation who desperately need guidance during these trying times in a downtrodden and disastrous world. DREADHAWK is an unapologetic force to be reckoned with in the years ahead so keep your eyes on the sky.
